84:365 Surprised by Color
I left the train station through a different entrance yesterday morning, and as I got to Michigan Avenue, I was surprised by this mural. Above the facades of two shorter buildings - this joyous art. A welcome blast of color on another dreary and cold Chicago day.
It's called "Loop Tattoo," and is on the side of 63 E. Lake Street, between Wabash and Michigan. It was designed by Johanna Poethig and painted in sections with a team of Chicago community artists.
