Busindre Reel . . .

I've had a Hevia CD for many years and this tune is on it.  I've been listening to it over and over the past couple of days, so had to share it with you here.  He is playing Asturian pipes.

Enjoy  :-)

Thank you for sharing. I've recently discovered that I have Irish and Scottish ancestry, in addition to English, Welsh, French and German. [Basically a Heinz 57 mutt!!] I'm beginning to have a deeper appreciation for bagpipes and the history of Ireland and Scotland.

I had no idea that there were different types of pipes. But the music is lovely and I can see why you enjoy it so much.

Many many cultures have pipes, Janice. You might be very interested in the music Loreena McKennitt has done in her exploration of the silk road and how Celtic and Middle Eastern music are very much intertwined :-) Check out her Nights at the Alhambra.
