15:365 Woolen . . .

015_365.011513

It's really green and it's spun "woolen," which is never my first choice (I prefer to spin "worsted") and which I'm - obviously - dreadful at :-D The fiber is Jacob - not one I will ever need or want to spin again - too crunchy. I would never want this next to my skin.

I think that's a beautiful shade of green!

Jacob can vary widely in my experience. The breed standard actually disqualifies sheep if they are TOO fine, but some breeders choose to breed for finer fleeces for the handspinners' market anyway. I've spun some from a breeder here in Oregon that I know that I liked very much.

Tammy has spun it and she loves it. She does spin it worsted, but I don't think that would make much difference. I never need to spin this again :-D

I love the color but it looks itchy, I have no idea why, or if it really is...

I didn't mean to post that comment twice as if one time wasn't itchy enough lol
