37:365 Squirrel in the Snow

I truly dislike these rodents . . . they do their best to get the birdseed out of the feeder. This one is lying in wait, plotting to see if he can outsmart the Yankee Flipper bird feeder I invested in last year. So far, the Yankee Flipper is winning - which makes it well worth the money I spent on it :-) And yes, it snowed here AGAIN today . . . Thankfully not too much.

They actually broke my feeder because they kept jumping at it to dump the seed on the ground. I need to look into the feeder you bought. We don't get many birds here in the city, though. Lots of English Sparrows. They don't belong here.

Candy - here's the link. It's pricey, but I've been very happy with it. I also got their bird seed that has chili powder in it because the squirrels supposedly won't eat it . . . although I have seen a hardy one or two trying the bits that fall to the ground.

I'm one of those who is as happy to feed the silver squirrels as I am to feed the birds. They don't damage my feeder and I think they are beautiful! Now the RACCOONS, on the other hand.... :-(
