I would think it would work if you sprinkled it on the sauce. But you NEVER stir it in unless you WANT thickening!

I eat pasta with just olive oil on it. I don't care for tomatoes or tomato sauce. Just putting on the pasta was kinda stupid, I guess, but I figured it couldn't hurt :-D

Yeah, as Michelle says it can really thicken a sauce or liquid, which is why it's sometimes used as a substitute for eggs in baking. It's great stirred into oatmeal since it has a mildly nutty taste, but on top of pasta...well, I salute your spirit of experimentation! :-)

It makes my oatmeal TOO thick, so I just sprinkle it on top....

I did not realize the thickening properties. I put it on my oatmeal on the weekends. On a flat omelette, I just throw it on top once it's already cooking - it sticks to the eggs and feta, and then when I flip it, it just sort of gets crunchy like the cheese does - it doesn't tast bad. It's not my first choice, but I seem to feel like I have to have it in the morning, so I just try to put it on whatever I happen to be eating :-D

Yes - I'm pretty much always willing to experiment :-D

Flax works best in smoothies. Try a cup of almond milk, 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup frozen strawberries, 1/2 c. frozen blueberries, a handful of spinach leaves, and your 2 tsp of flaxseed in a blender that can crush ice, for about 30 seconds. Yum!
